Nestled against the forested slopes of Mount Rainier, "Cabin at the Forest Edge" invites you with its rugged mountain cabin exterior, only to surprise you with its contemporary and comfortable interiors. It’s a mountain cabin dream with all of the comforts of home. The living area features deep, comfortable couches clustered around a charming wood-burning stove. The adjoining kitchen and dining area is the perfect place to relax after a long day on the slopes or trails for which the region is famed. The main bathroom is just off the kitchen and includes a ceramic tub, heated floors, a separate glass encased shower, and solid slate tile floors.
A rustic ladder leads up to the cozy sleeping loft, with a queen bed, a full, and a twin. There's plenty of room for family and friends! The two downstairs bedrooms both have plush queens. Sofa sleeper in living room.
Immerse yourself in our cozy cabin, unwind in the hot tub and end your evening with smore's around the firepit. You'll be 30 min from White Pass Ski Area & 25 min from the Steven’s Canyon Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park entrance. Town is a 6-minute drive.

Packwood's remote location suggests you should arrive with your vehicle, allowing you to visit and explore everything the region offers.

During the summer a burn ban may go into effect in all of Lewis County. During this time campfires, the use of charcoal briquettes, and any other form of burning may be prohibited.
Winters in Packwood may get very snowy. It is the guest's responsibility to be properly equipped for harsh winter driving conditions. We do our best to keep our cabins accessible, but winter traction tires and 4-wheel drive may still be required.
